Transform Your Teeth And Transform Your Life

If you don’t like how your smile looks, it can really negatively affect your life. Things like tooth stains, gaps between teeth, and other aesthetic flaws can reduce your confidence, make you feel self-conscious, and stop you from putting your best self forward.

At the office of Dr. Molly Rosen, our team is here to help. Dr. Rosen is an expert at placing veneers in Philadelphia. She’s passionate about cosmetic dentistry, and there’s nothing that she enjoys more than helping patients transform their teeth and fall in love with their smiles once again.

What Are Veneers?

Veneers are a thin dental restoration, typically made of porcelain, that are bonded to the front of your teeth to improve the appearance of your smile. Porcelain veneers are a great way to change the aesthetics of your teeth, while also conserving as much tooth structure as possible. Fabricating your veneers out of porcelain can be a much better long-term option to composite veneers or bonding, due to porcelain’s ability to retain its beautiful color, shine, and shape for many years.

Porcelain is very similar to the natural color and translucency of enamel, and it’s super strong and durable. Working hand-in-hand with master ceramicists, Dr. Rosen is able to customize your smile. Whether you’re self-conscious about your teeth due to discoloration, variations in sizes, misalignment, or anything else, veneers in Philadelphia from Dr. Molly Rosen may be the best way to restore your smile.

Understanding The Benefits Of Porcelain Veneers

Extremely versatile

Porcelain veneers are great for treating multiple cosmetic issues at once. With a set of veneers, Dr. Rosen can treat issues including misshapen and uneven teeth, smile imbalances, deep tooth stains, minor chipping and tooth damage, and even slightly crooked teeth.

Design your own smile

At our office, Dr. Rosen will work with you to design veneers that fit your needs and your preferences. Whether you’re looking for a more subtle smile transformation or want a picture-perfect, bright white smile, you’ll get exactly the results you’re looking for.

Long lifespan

Veneers have a typical lifespan of between 10-20 years with proper oral hygiene and regular checkups. This means they last much longer than alternative treatments like dental bonding and teeth whitening.

Totally stain-resistant

Along with their superior durability and long lifespan, porcelain veneers are completely stain-resistant. They are made from poreless ceramic materials that can’t be stained by coffee, tea, berries, or anything else. This keeps your smile looking bright for years to come.

Simple at-home care

You can treat your veneers just like natural teeth.  There’s no need to do anything special to keep your smile in great shape. All you have to do is brush twice daily, floss once per day, and see Dr. Rosen for a checkup every six months.

Am I A Good Candidate For Veneers?

If you have a healthy mouth but are struggling with multiple cosmetic issues like gaps between teeth, an uneven smile, minor chips, or severe tooth stains, veneers may be a great choice for you.

However, veneers are only meant to be a cosmetic treatment and are not intended to treat any serious oral health issues like damaged teeth or cavities. These issues must be resolved before you can get veneers.

What To Expect From The Veneers Process

Getting veneers is simple. After Dr. Rosen approves you for treatment, it typically takes two visits over a 4-8 week period to get your new veneers. Here’s what you can expect from the process.

  • Consultation – First, you’ll come in for a sit-down with Dr. Rosen where she will talk to you about what you like and don’t like about your smile. This involves taking photos, analyzing symmetry, discoloration, your bite, and any misalignment. At this appointment, Dr. Rosen can show you what you could expect from veneers and a new smile.
  • Initial Prep and Designing your new smile – Dr. Rosen will numb your teeth to keep you comfortable, then remove a very thin layer of enamel from each tooth that needs a veneer. This ensures that your veneers will fit into your smile perfectly! Once she’s done trimming your teeth, Dr. Rosen will scan your smile with our iTero digital scanner (no goopy impression material anymore!) to create a 3D model of your mouth.
  • Designing your new smile – Dr. Rosen will attach a set of temporary veneers to your teeth and before you go home, she will modify and customize them to make sure you love what you’re leaving with. She may take a final scan after this, to send a 3D scan to our partner lab/Master Ceramicist to communicate exactly how she wants your final veneers designed.

  • Crafting your veneers – We work with a master ceramist at a local dental lab to ensure the highest-quality restorations. Your veneers will be custom-crafted from durable, lifelike porcelain that will fit perfectly into your smile. It usually takes about 3-4 weeks for your veneers to be completed and sent back to the office of Dr. Molly Rosen.
  • Final veneer placement – At your final visit, Dr. Rosen will remove your temporaries and clean up your teeth. Then, she will check the fit of each veneer, make any final adjustments, and bond them to your teeth permanently. You’ll walk out of our office with a gorgeous, confident, picture-perfect smile!
